9 Rejoice greatly, Fair
Zion; Raise a shout, Fair Jerusalem! Lo
your King is coming to you. He is victorious, triumphant, yet humble
riding on a ass, on a donkey foaled by a she-ass. 10 -- He shall call
on the nations to surrender, and his rule shall extend from sea to sea and
from ocean to land's end.
|
9
Rejoice greatly, O people of Zion! Shout
in triumph, O people of Jerusalem!
Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is
humble, riding on a donkey -- even on a donkey's colt. 10--- Your
king will bring peace to the nations. His realm will stretch from sea to sea
and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.

2 Go into the Village
over , "he said, "and you will see a donkey tied there, with its
colt beside it. Untie them and bring them here. 3 If anyone asks what
are you doing, just say, "the Lord needs them,' and he will immediately
send them." 4 This was done to
fill the prophecy, 5 Tell the people of Israel,
Look
your King is coming to you. He is humble,
riding on a donkey - even
on a donkey's colt

at the presence of the LORD, for He
is coming, for He is coming to rule the earth;
He will rule the world
justly and its people in faithfulness. |
13
before the LORD!
For the LORD is
coming! He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the
world with righteousness and all the nations with his truth. |
12
The next day, the news that Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem swept
through the city. A huge crowd of Passover visitors 13 took palm
branches and went down the road to meet him. They shouted,
"praise
God! Bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord ! Hail to the King of
Israel! 14 Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it,
fulfilling
the prophecy that said; 15 Don't be afraid, people of
Israel. Look, your King is coming sitting on a donkey's
colt. |

30
"Go into that village over there,"
he told them," and as you enter it, you will see a colt tied there
that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 31 If
anyone asks what you are doing, just say "The Lord needs it." 32
So they went and found the colt, just as Jesus had said. 33 And
sure enough, as they were untying it, the owners asked them
"Why are you untying our colt?" 34
And the disciples simply replied" The Lord needs it" 35
So they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their garments over it for him
to ride on.
38 "Bless the King who comes in the name of the Lord!"
Peace in heaven and glory to the highest heaven!" |
